Unveiling a new “Welcome to Chelsea” mural
We at The Neighborhood Developers are excited to announce the muralist and design for the "Welcome to Chelsea" mural at 1005 Broadway, our newest 38 affordable homes!
This beautiful mural is easily spotted by people traveling across Mill Creek into Chelsea from Revere on foot, by bus, bicycle, or car and from the Revere Beach Parkway off-ramp. The design incorporates feedback from a series of community meetings.
Muralist Anna Dugan says:
"When I think of the Chelsea community, I think of a vibrant and colorful community filled with diversity and a love of life. I was so happy to see these sentiments captured in the community input provided. It meant that the people surveyed see the same Chelsea I do."
This mural is made possible by a generous grant from the Chelsea Cultural Council, which supports public programs that promote excellence, access, education, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and sciences in Chelsea.
