Mike Ring

Mike was born in Lima, Peru and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri before moving to the Boston area. He began his career as a full-time piano teacher and freelance musician, and was also involved in direct service work for various human service and environmental conservation agencies. It was his volunteer stay in Peru in 2014 to help in various orphanages that was both a career and life changing experience. In recent years, he discovered his passion for grant writing, and was excited to join the TND team and contribute to their holistic approach towards community building and neighborhood revitalization. He holds a Masters degree in Music Performance and in Social Work. In his free time, Mike loves teaching piano, going to concerts, staying active outdoors, and eating Toasted Ravioli (a St. Louis original).
